I've waited for you from the beginning of time
Enhanced, Enriched, Excited!
Many times I've spoken to you,
In my dreams
My fantasies, they sing of your manliness
Our feet dance to the rhythm of a song not yet written
Shared only in the depths of silent prayers to my God!

Now when the rains are in tow
And the heavy winds blow
I stand in the shelter of His presence
Mature in my walk, I face head on my plight;
Knowing full well that this is not my fight,
but it belongs to He, that sent me;
Well able to protect me, shield me; comfort me, keep me dry, even while I stand in the rain
Then I see the rainbow
The rainbow of promise, I never knew
And it causes me to stand
So I am standing in the rain; in the midst of all the pain
Knowing that His hand
Is all I need to get me through;
with the rainbow of promise I never knew
His love will get me through
Just standing in the rain
Forgetting those things that are behind, I press on toward the prize of a higher calling which is in Christ Jesus
Yesterday is gone forever, tomorrow is not promised
Today, now, is all that I have and I
Press, Press, Press!
I press on, letting go of the hurts and trials of yesterday
Knowing that God is on my side
And He is making a way of escape for me
Forgetting sleepless nights and uncompromising mornings
The Lord says to those in mourning
A new day is here, making the way clear
Another chance to live, to give
Of yourself, to share Christ
If you are on the road of shame and disgrace
Press on.. for surely you will see Him face to face
